The mission of the Walker County Sheriff's Office is to provide the community with the highest level of professionalism and efficiency in the Sheriff's Office. Our department strives to be the capstone of law enforcement, and a forerunner of public safety.

One of Walker County's greatest resources is its people. In times of need, our community shows up in droves to assist. This is one way we can do that. Sheriff Smith has instituted a volunteer search and rescue team to help locate the missing and lost. If you would like to join, fill out the form below. Training and more information will be made available to applicants as soon as possible.
