Senior Citizens' Safety Academy

we know that wisdom follows age.

We know that wisdom follows age, but you can teach an old dog new tricks! The Walker County Sheriff's Office holds regular meetings to interact with, and teach our senior citizens how to keep safe in this day and age. The short program is designed to teach senior citizens how to reduce the possibility of crime and improve the quality of life. From home security, to defensive driving, and from elder abuse, to fraud prevention, the Senior Citizens Academy serves as a vehicle for law enforcement to share their experience and knowledge. The class meets at a variety of times and at a variety of places to accommodate our citizens' busy lives! Keep an eye at our Facebook page for more information about how you can join us for our next class!
