Deputy Hood is the Team Leader of the Walker County Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team. These men and women comprise the highly skilled and extensively trained operators of the Sheriff's Office. This elite team specializes in cases where advanced tactics and specialized skills are required to keep both the public, and our deputies, safe. Walker County's SWAT team is always at the ready, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to keep the people of Walker County safe.
